After a career year in 2025, the question on everyone’s mind with Trevor Lawrence is, can he do it again?
He’s played well before. He just hasn’t been able to sustain it across multiple seasons.
But after what we saw in Week 1, all signs are pointing to the change in his game under Liam Coen being more permanent.
All of Lawrence’s traits were on display in Week 1 against the Browns. There were even a few things that he traditionally hasn’t done well that he was able to execute at a high level in the season opener. And that’s what you have to be most excited about if you’re a Jaguars fan.
It started on his first of four touchdown passes. Notice the pocket toughness as Lawrence delivered the ball with a pass rusher in his face:
That’s a pretty good pass 40 yards downfield without being able to step into the throw.
