The 2026 NFL Season is finally here!
One of the things we like to do at Football Film Room is give you a preview of every NFL game based on team stats. We’re not comparing one offense to another offense since they’re never on the field at the same time. Instead, we’re taking a look at how each team’s offense matches up to that week’s opponent on defense, and vice versa.
For Week 1, we’ll be using 2025 team stats. In Week 2, however, we’ll begin using 2026 numbers.
Here’s a look at tonight’s season opener between the Patriots and Seahawks. We’ll post the rest of the Week 1 games on Thursday and Friday.

This is a repeat of the last game we all saw. Plus or minus a few players and Seattle mostly kept their lineup intact. I believe we will almost the same game again. AJ Brown won’t make that much of a difference.
