2026 NFL Draft: Ohio State LB Sonny Styles

Sonny Styles is the other freakishly-talented Ohio State linebacker projected to go early in this year’s draft.

He’s 6’5”, 244 pounds, and moves like a defensive back. Don’t believe me? Just check out his numbers from the Combine.

That athleticism jumps out at you on the all-22 as well. Styles is an off-the-ball linebacker who can do it all.

He’s smooth and fluid in coverage, easily able to read and react to route combinations, close on pass catchers, and run with tight ends in man coverage:

That comfortability he has in the passing game likely comes from the fact that he was a safety up until a couple of years ago. His size kind of mandated that he move to linebacker, but that didn’t take away from his ability to cover.

Styles can eat up ground quickly and under control, and that also helps him in the run game:
